Open Hardware Monitor: still alive!

After almost two years without updates, the Open Hardware Monitor project came to life with the release of version 0.8.

The open source project is a free tool to monitor CPU load, speed and temperature clock, fan speed, voltages, video cards, RAM usage and more.

The new build brings much -need hardware support for Intel Skylake CPUs , along with Kaby Lake, Airmont and i 5 , and the Xeon E 5 -26 xx v 4 and D -15 xx .

Added support for the ITE IT 8620 E , IT 8628 E , and Nuvoton NCT 6102 D /NCT 6106 D super I/ O chips should get the program working with many more motherboards.

now there is more information available for RAM NVIDIA, Samsung and Plextor SSD.

The plot window has a management and customizable colors smarter pen, and there are some jetties error corrections.

The program is still a small download, only 502 KB. The interface is basic but functional, and easy to generate graphs of all the attributes that you want to monitor.

Open Hardware Monitor provided reasonable results in our test laptop, showing precise details and figures for our CPU, motherboard, hard drive and more.

The program was not able to give us information about our load temperature or GPU, despite correctly identify, but we do not know the extent of this problem might be. If you are interested in hardware monitors, check anyway - no installation required and still running Windows XP or later.
